My ISS webpage created with notepad http://jimmyjujames.com/ My ISS passes on youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/jimmyjujames/videos April 5, 2016, 5:55 P.M. CDT (UT-5) Temperature: 76F Humidity: 29% Sun was 16 degrees above the Western horizon. ISS Phase angle = 105 degrees (Sun-ISS-Telescope) A value of 0 indicates full phase, a value of 180 indicates new phase. ISS approached from SW ISS reached 90 degrees altitude, range 254 miles. My last 90 degree pass was about 7 months ago and I had forgotten to press record. ISS departed to NE This ISS pass was above the trees for about 130 seconds. Collected 1475 frames with ISS on sensor. Used 1110 frames in final avi. Mount: Astro-Physics 900GTO Equatorial Mount The 900GTO has features that allow me to track the ISS in the daylight without a meridian flip at zenith on some passes. This ISS approach was from the South-western to Zenith and departed to the NorthEastern. Set meridian from 0W to 6W (western horizon), tracked through zenith and no meridian flip was needed. Wow! Super Cool mount. Another user said this and I agree, "The mount is so good that you just forget about it during the session." 10'' f4.5 Newtonian TIS DBK41AU02.AS color cam at prime focus FOV = 17x13 arc-min Satellite Tracker v2.5.1 Satellite Tracker Setup for my Astro-Physics 900GTO Mount with a 17x13 arc-min FOV. Focused and ReCal'ed on Aldebaran Satellite Tracker: click "Connect" button to connect to 900GTO mount. On 900 Keypad set Meridian from 0W to 6W. Counter weights above horizon in the East Scope on West side pointing above the SW horizon. The ISS approach is from the SW. Waited for ISS to move above trees Clicked Start Tracking button after ISS moved above 34 degrees altitude. On a Good-Day after pressing the "Timing Offset Coarse" button 1 to 6 times, I see the ISS move through the Cam FOV. Then I click the "Timing Offset Fine" button in the opposite direction and hold the ENTER key down until the ISS is back on sensor. After ISS is on sensor, switched from Buttons to Joystick control An accurate polar alignment will result in less joystick corrections. Post Processing: Virtualdub removed blank frames Pipp debayer GB to RGB Virtualdub broke 1440 frame avi into 3 avi files ( 500, 500 and 440) Manually aligned each avi in Regestax5 and saved as 512x512 Virtualdub appended the 3 512x512 avi's back into 1 avi file. Closed and re-started Registax51 Opened new 512x512 avi into Registax5, Auto-Aligned and saved as 256x256. Closed and re-started Registax51 Opened new 256x256 avi into Registax5 Auto-Aligned and saved as 128x128. VirtualDub deleted poor frames and set final playback fps.
