My ISS webpage created with notepad http://jimmyjujames.com/ My ISS passes on youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/jimmyjujames/videos March 21, 2016, 7:57 A.M. CDT (UT-5) Temperature: 40?F Humidity: 80+% Sun 12 degrees above the Eastern horizon. ISS Phase angle = 93 degrees (Sun-ISS-Telescope) ISS approached from NW ISS reached 76 degrees altitude (culminated) in SW, range 263 miles. ISS departed to SE This ISS pass was above the trees for about 80 seconds. Many leaves have fallen and I was able to track the ISS through the tree limbs. The best movies include the approach, pass and departure. I need to be ready, if I fumble on anything, no time to recover on this pass. Collected 645 frames with ISS on sensor. Used 268 frames in final avi. Mount: Astro-Physics 900GTO GEM The 900GTO has features that allow me to track the ISS in the daylight without a meridian flip at zenith on some passes. If ISS approach is from the Southwestern horizon to Zenith and departs to the NorthEastern horizon then no meridian flip is needed. Set meridian from 0W to 6W (western horizon). Wow! Super Cool mount. Another user said this and I agree, "The mount is so good that you just forget about it during the session." 10'' f4.5 Newtonian TIS DBK41AU02.AS color cam at prime focus FOV = 17x13 arc-min Satellite Tracker v2.5.1 Satellite Tracker Setup for my Astro-Physics 900GTO GEM Mount with a 17x13 arc-min FOV. Focused and ReCal'ed on Vega In Satellite Tracker, click "Connect" button to connect to 900GTO mount. Forgot to set 900 Keypad Meridian from 0W to 2E Mount flipped at zenith, could have flipped 2 hours east of zenith. Clicked Start Tracking button after ISS passes scope. On a Good-Day after pressing the "Timing Offset Coarse" button 1 to 6 times, I see the ISS move through the Cam FOV. Then I click the "Timing Offset Fine" button in the opposite direction and hold the ENTER key down until the ISS is back on sensor. Overshot sensor 1 times. After ISS is on sensor, switched from Buttons to Joystick control An accurate polar alignment will result in less joystick corrections.
