https://youtu.be/PTh7uIzp9N0 October 6, 2015, 06:14 P.M. CDT UT-5 Sun 3 degrees above the Western horizon. ISS approached from SW ISS reached 69 degrees altitude in SE, range 269 miles. ISS departed to NE This ISS pass was above the trees for about 140 seconds. You need to be ready, if I fumble on anything, no time to recover on this pass. Oh well, if so, as I've said for the last 9 years, "I'll try to do better next time". Collected 2000 frames with ISS on sensor. Mount: Astro-Physics 900GTO GEM The 900GTO has features that allow me to track the ISS in the daylight. Southwestern horizon to Zenith to NorthEastern horizon and no meridian flip. Wow! Super Cool mount. Another user said this and I agree, "The mount is so good that you just forget about it during the session." 10'' f4.5 Newtonian TIS DBK41AU02.AS color cam at prime focus FOV = 17x13 arc-min Satellite Tracker v2.5.1 Satellite Tracker Setup for my Astro-Physics 900GTO GEM Mount with a 17x13 arc-min FOV. Focused and ReCal'ed on Vega In Satellite Tracker, click "Connect" button to connect to 900GTO mount. On 900GTO keypad change Meridian from 0W overhead to 6W Western Horizon This is where you need to appreciate the possibility of colliding with pier. Click Start Tracking button when ISS is almost above trees. On a Good-Day after pressing the "Timing Offset Coarse" button 1 to 3 times, I see the ISS move through the Cam FOV. Then I click the "Timing Offset Fine" button in the opposite direction and hold the ENTER key down until the ISS is back on sensor. After ISS is on sensor, switched from Buttons to Joystick control An accurate polar alignment will result in less joystick corrections. Post Processing: Virtualdub to removed blank frames Pipp to debayer to RGB Tried Pipp to center this ISS pass and dropped too many frames VirtualDub divided original 2000 frame avi into 4 500-Frame avi files. Manually aligned each avi in Regestax5 and saved as512x512 Opened new 512x512 avi back into Registax 5 Auto-Aligned and saved as 256x256.
